This project came out beautiful! This started out as faded gray aluminum siding. We primed the entire house with acrylic primer, since it's a great rust inhibitor, then went to town. I sanded down the poly and stain on the front door and soffit so they would take paint properly. We also sanded the iron railings and did some pretty extensive rust remediation before painting it with some oil-based paint. The front porch floor and stucco border came out awesome. I did some concrete and stucco patches followed by masonry primer and top-coated it with treadplex with an anti-slip additive. To get that clean look on the riser accents, I had to tape everything off and seal the tape before painting. That's the only way to get crispy lines like that in rough concrete steps. Couldn't be more happy with this one!
This house is located right behind Barracuda in Algiers Point. We also painted the beautiful vibrant blue house next door on pelican ave. So next time you're enjoying some delish tacos and margs, check it out!
